Founded in the spring of 2014 by Abdala Kaufmann, Tattoo Abyss is located in the heart of Griffintown, Montreal. Our shop is dedicated to your safety and comfort when making the decision to undergo body modification.

Abdala Kaufmann, resident artist, has 18 years of experience in drawing and painting with a degrees in fine arts at both Dawson College as well as Concordia University. Tattooing full time for 6 years, Abby specializes in realism but can create your original design in a wide variety of styles. Our 3 other artists at Abyss are all experienced tattooers with styles ranging from traditional, Japanese, neo-traditional, dot work, geometric & much more.

Tattoo Abyss works with its clients to offer custom designs based on original ideas, or modified images. Clients are also welcome to bring in specific images and designs of their choosing.

We understand that getting a first tattoo can be an overwhelming process and you may have a lot of questions. To make it simple and clear for our clients, we offer free one-on-one consultations where the artist will explain the process & discuss design details.

For traveling clients, we can arrange long-distance consultations and deposit payments via email and/or phone if needed. We also offer walk-in appointments, if time permits.

Clients are welcome to book a free consultation with no obligations. If the client decides to go ahead with a custom design a non-refundable deposit will be necessary to begin the process. In the case of lettering, or a specific image the client can go ahead and book an appointment directly on our online booking page.

Just started my half back dragon tattoo and I have to say Abby is incredible! Her artistic skills go from paint brush to tattoo gun so flawlessly! Her shop is so nice and fresh looking, it’s a nice concept and a great ambiance. It’s pristine and yet so cozy. You need to visit at least once. I highly recommend this extremely talented artist!!!
