After Care

Remove Bandage 1-3 hours after the procedure, wash with cool water using a plain soap bar such as Ivory or Dove, rub gently with hands rinse completely. Dry the tattoo by gently patting with a new piece of paper towel, apply a thin coat of OINTMENT purchased at Abyss Tattoo.

Wash the Tattoo 2 times a day morning and night for 4-5 days following the directions in Number 1.

After day 5 wash once a day in the shower and switch to a non scented hypo-allergenic LOTION apply thin coats as needed to relieve tightness and dryness. Curel, Lubriderm, and Cetaphyl are excellent choices and can be found at any local Pharmacy.

Day 7-12 the tattoo will flake like a sunburn, and some color skin may drop off, this is normal. Never scratch or pick the tattoo or color will be removed and cause deep scarring which needs a long heal time before a touch-up. Apply thin coats of LOTION to relieve itchiness.

The Tattoo should be fully healed in 3-4 weeks. In this time frame it is imperative to avoid any direct contact with the sun, as it can cause a SIGNIFICANT loss of saturation and is not covered by the Guarantee. Nor is picking the scabs of a healing tattoo, or soaking in a pool or tub in the first 3 weeks of the procedure. * In the event of a need for touch up a small fee of 10-40$ will be requested.
