Neighboring downtown Montreal, Griffintown has been for a couple of years the up-and-coming neighborhood in Montreal. Between its amazing architecture and its history, a lot of businesses want to open their doors in Griffintown. Situated west of the old Montreal, Griffintown has the Canal Lachine flowing, separating it from Pointe-Saint-Charles. 

From working class to business class

Griffintown was not always this beautiful. It was part of one of the most important changes in Montreal. it was in 1815 that people, mostly Irish, started living in Griffintown, then called Faubourg Sainte-Anne. Most of them worked on the creation of the Canal Lachine between 1821 and 1825. That method of transportation will have a huge impact on the industrialization of Montreal. In 1825, 1192 people and 13 factories lived on the territory, which was the biggest industrial concentration in the whole country! Going all the way up to 20 000 workers and 60 factories, Griffintown was the biggest working neighborhood Montreal had due to the Canal Lachine being there and the access to railroads. While it was really good for the economy, it brought a lot of consequences. People had to leave due to low quality of life due to the factories all around. It was only in the 1990s, when investors and the government started investing millions of dollars in the neighborhood, closing the factories to open schools, and rebuilding that Griffintown came back as a good option for smaller companies. Today, Griffintown is home to a ton of new businesses and condos and is reputed as one of the elite neighborhoods of Montreal. If you plan on visiting, make sure to be hungry and stop at one of the best restaurants Montreal has to offer!

Dedicated to your safety and comfort, Abby and her team will do everything they can to make you feel at home while going through the body modification process. Having a team of 8 different tattooists, you are guaranteed to be able to find the style they desire on their body. The shop, situated at 1520 Notre-Dame W in Montreal, really feels like a home. When walking in, you will be greeted by one of the artists there. While waiting, multiple arts are hung on the walls, music is playing and everyone is talking with everyone. No matter if it is your first tattoo or if you are usual, the staff has the knowledge to answer any question you have. We also know and understand that everyone is different, we ensure that everyone is feeling comfortable before and while being tattooed.

How does it work? 

We understand that getting a first tattoo can be an overwhelming process and you may have a lot of questions. To make it simple and clear for our clients, we offer free one-on-one consultations where the artist will explain the process & discuss design details. We offer custom designs based on the information given by the customer. To help the artists, it is easier if you bring references for what you are looking for! 

We also offer a free consultation with no strings attached! That way, you can come in and see if your ideas match our artists’ ideas! 

To make sure our artists won’t work for nothing, we do ask for a non-refundable deposit to begin the process if you decide to go through with a custom design.
